If you are a corporate client, your business marketing, promotional products, and staff clothing just got cheaper. On July 1st, 2010, British Columbia and Ontario implemented the Harmonized Sales Tax (HST). The change means that in BC, you can now claim back all 12% of your qualifying business expenses as an imput tax credit. Prior to the HST, you could claim back the 5% GST, however the 7% BC PST had to be absorbed into the cost of the goods.
