West Coast Monograms is celebrating our thirtieth anniversary! Its a great time for us to reflect and share our story with humble beginnings.

Back in 1981, Lea (the founder) started out monogramming with a single head embroidery machine in West Vancouver. Although somewhat of a hobby, her attention to detail and dedication to the craft allowed the company to grow through word-of-mouth referrals from happy customers. The buzz of this quality embroidery spread across Western Canada and soon after we were shipping our work all over the country.

If you are a corporate client, your business marketing, promotional products, and staff clothing just got cheaper. On July 1st, 2010, British Columbia and Ontario implemented the Harmonized Sales Tax (HST). The change means that in BC, you can now claim back all 12% of your qualifying business expenses as an imput tax credit. Prior to the HST, you could claim back the 5% GST, however the 7% BC PST had to be absorbed into the cost of the goods.
