West Coast Monograms is celebrating our thirtieth anniversary! Its a great time for us to reflect and share our story with humble beginnings.

Back in 1981, Lea (the founder) started out monogramming with a single head embroidery machine in West Vancouver. Although somewhat of a hobby, her attention to detail and dedication to the craft allowed the company to grow through word-of-mouth referrals from happy customers. The buzz of this quality embroidery spread across Western Canada and soon after we were shipping our work all over the country.

Tron Legacy is opening this Friday! Its hard to believe it has been twenty-eight years since Disney released the original cult classic Tron.

West Coast Monograms is proud to have played our small part in the new film. This project brought some of the brightest minds in film to push the limits of real-life action and computer generated effects.

Our part involved some cool special embroidery effects as well. To keep with the neon styling of Tron, we used a rare glow in the dark thread, appropriately named "Glowy" for the embroidery work.

On July 1st, 2010, British Columbia and Ontario implemented the Harmonized Sales Tax (HST). The change means that in BC, you can now claim back all 12% of your qualifying business expenses as an imput tax credit.
